Sultims
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011574
Tautomeric forms of sultams in which the hydrogen of the ring NH has shifted to a sulfonyl oxygen, leaving a sulfur-nitrogen double bond within the ring and a hydroxyl group on sulfur. A cyclic sulfonamide and its sultim are related in the same way as an amide and its imidic acid tautomer. The sultim form is normally much less stable than the sultam.
