Macrophage mannose receptor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006886
A C-type lectin receptor found on the surface of macrophages and dendritic cells that recognizes mannose-containing carbohydrates on pathogens. This receptor facilitates the uptake of antigens for processing and presentation to T cells, contributing to the initiation of immune responses. It is involved in both pathogen recognition and clearance.
