Markush structure
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006962
A chemical structure representation that defines a set of related chemical compounds by specifying a common core structure and variable substituents at certain positions. It uses generic groups or lists of specific atoms or groups to indicate variations. This type of structure is frequently used in patent claims to broadly define a class of compounds with similar properties or activities.
