Mean exchange current density
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007071
The average rate of charge transfer per unit area across an electrode-electrolyte interface at equilibrium, where the net current is zero. It represents the dynamic balance between anodic and cathodic reactions occurring simultaneously. This parameter is a measure of the intrinsic reactivity of an electrochemical system and is expressed in amperes per square meter (A/m²).
