Mechanized extraction

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007116

A process of separating a substance from a matrix using mechanical devices to automate or assist in the extraction steps. This involves the use of pumps, valves, and robotic arms to handle solvents, samples, and perform mixing or phase separation. It differs from manual extraction by reducing direct human manipulation of the extraction apparatus.
