Metameter
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007262
A transformed variable derived from an original measurement, often used in statistical analysis to meet assumptions of statistical tests or to linearize relationships. Common transformations include logarithmic, square root, or reciprocal transformations. The choice of metameter can significantly influence the interpretation of data in ecotoxicological studies.
