Metrological compatibility of measurement results

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007282

A condition where the absolute difference between two measurement results for the same measurand is smaller than a chosen multiple of the standard uncertainty of their difference. This indicates that the results are consistent with each other within their stated uncertainties. It is a criterion used to assess the agreement between results obtained from different laboratories or methods.
