Micro-encapsulation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007322
A process of enclosing solid, liquid, or gaseous substances within a small capsule, typically ranging from a few micrometers to a few millimeters in size. The encapsulated material, known as the core, is surrounded by a polymeric shell or coating. This technique is used to protect sensitive materials, control release, or mask undesirable properties.
