Microcapsule

A small capsule, typically ranging from a few micrometers to several hundred micrometers in diameter, consisting of a core material enclosed within a polymeric shell. The shell provides protection, controlled release, or isolation of the core substance. These structures are widely used in drug delivery, food additives, and personal care products.
