Microcarrier
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007309
A small, solid particle or bead, typically polymeric, used as a support for the attachment and growth of anchorage-dependent cells in bioreactors. Cells adhere to the surface of the microcarriers, allowing for high cell densities in suspension cultures. These carriers range in size from 100 to 300 micrometers.
