Solid support
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010994
An inert, insoluble material that provides a stationary phase for chemical reactions or separations, particularly in chromatography and solid-phase synthesis. It offers a surface for the attachment of reagents, catalysts, or analytes without participating directly in the chemical process. Common examples include silica gel, alumina, or polymeric beads.
