Polymer support

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013420

An insoluble polymeric material to which reagents, catalysts, or substrates are covalently attached for use in chemical reactions. This allows for facile separation of the supported species from the reaction mixture by filtration, simplifying purification steps. Common forms include beads or resins made from polystyrene or polyacrylamide.
