Microcanonical rate constant
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007306
A rate constant that is specific to a system with a fixed total energy and number of particles, as described by the microcanonical ensemble in statistical mechanics. It represents the rate of reaction for molecules possessing a precise amount of internal energy. This constant is a fundamental quantity in unimolecular reaction rate theories.
