Molecular logic gate

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007504

A molecular system that performs logical operations based on chemical or physical inputs, producing a detectable output. These gates mimic the behavior of electronic logic gates but operate at the molecular level. They are typically constructed from molecules that undergo reversible changes in response to external stimuli, such as light, pH, or the presence of specific ions.
