Detector gate width
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003081
The specific time interval during which a detector is active and able to acquire a signal. In time-resolved spectroscopy, this window is synchronized with a pulsed excitation source, such as a laser, to measure phenomena like fluorescence decay. The gate width is a selectable parameter, often measured in nanoseconds or microseconds, and its duration affects the temporal resolution of the measurement.
