Gated photodetector
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004779
A photodetector whose sensitivity or signal acquisition is controlled by an electronic gate, allowing it to be turned on or off for precise time intervals. This enables the detector to selectively measure light signals within a specific time window, rejecting unwanted background or scattered light. It is commonly used in pulsed laser experiments and time-resolved spectroscopy.
