Monitoring test
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007538
A procedure conducted to determine the concentration or effects of a substance within a specific environmental compartment or biological system over time. Such tests are designed to track changes, assess exposure levels, or verify compliance with regulatory standards by systematically collecting and analyzing samples. For example, a monitoring test might involve the periodic measurement of pesticide concentrations in river water downstream from an agricultural area to assess long-term contamination.
