Neoplasm

An abnormal mass of tissue resulting from uncontrolled cell growth, which can be either benign or malignant. These growths arise when cells divide excessively and fail to undergo programmed cell death. The classification of a neoplasm depends on its cellular characteristics, growth pattern, and potential for spread.
