Nine aspects of disease association
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007945
A set of criteria used to evaluate the likelihood of a causal relationship between an exposure and a disease, often applied in epidemiology. These aspects include strength of association, consistency, specificity, temporality, biological gradient, plausibility, coherence, experimental evidence, and analogy. They provide a framework for assessing causality, though not all criteria must be met for a causal link.
