Nitrosolic acids
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007972
Compounds of general structure R-C(=NOH)NO, in which a nitroso group and a hydroxyimino (oxime) group sit on the same carbon, making them alpha-nitroso oximes. They are the nitroso counterparts of the nitrolic acids, R-C(=NOH)NO2, in which the nitroso group is replaced by a nitro group, and they are generally unstable.
