Nuclidic mass

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008150

The exact mass of a specific nuclide, expressed in atomic mass units (amu). This mass is primarily determined by the sum of the masses of its constituent protons, neutrons, and electrons, minus the mass defect due to nuclear binding energy. It differs slightly from the atomic weight, which is an average over isotopic abundances.
