Optical spectroscopy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008279
The study of the interaction between electromagnetic radiation in the optical region (ultraviolet, visible, and infrared) and matter. This interaction involves the absorption, emission, or scattering of light by atoms, molecules, or solids. The resulting spectra provide information about the energy levels and structure of the sample.
