Plasma induction zone
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009013
The region within an inductively coupled plasma (ICP) torch where the radiofrequency (RF) energy is coupled to the plasma gas, leading to its ionization and heating. This zone is characterized by intense electromagnetic fields that sustain the plasma. It is where the initial breakdown of the gas occurs to form the plasma.
