Normal plasma analytical zone
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008072
The region of an inductively coupled plasma where desolvation, vaporization, atomization or ionization, and excitation of the analyte are complete, so that most analytically useful emission originates there. In radial viewing it lies roughly 10 to 20 mm above the load coil, above the initial radiation zone, and its exact position shifts with power, gas flows and the element observed.
