Radial viewing mode

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009806

An observation configuration in inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) where the emitted light from the plasma is collected perpendicular to the plasma's central axis. This mode provides a wider dynamic range and is less susceptible to self-absorption effects compared to axial viewing. It is often preferred for samples with high analyte concentrations.
