Axial viewing mode
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001038
An orientation in inductively-coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy where the emitted light is collected from the plasma along its central horizontal axis. The instrument's optical system is aligned end-on with the torch, viewing the entire length of the plasma channel. This configuration contrasts with the radial viewing mode, which observes the plasma from the side, perpendicular to the flow of gas and sample.
