Pose diagram

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009288

A two-dimensional schematic representation showing the binding mode of a ligand within the active site of a macromolecule, such as a protein. The diagram illustrates the key intermolecular interactions, like hydrogen bonds, hydrophobic contacts, and salt bridges, between the ligand and the surrounding amino acid residues. These diagrams are generated by computational docking or determined from experimental structures, such as those from X-ray crystallography.
