Position-sensitive photomultiplier tube
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009289
A type of photomultiplier tube capable of determining the spatial location of incident photons on its photocathode. It achieves this by using a resistive anode or a segmented anode, allowing for the measurement of both light intensity and its point of origin. These detectors are used in applications requiring spatial resolution, such as imaging and particle detection.
