Jablonski diagram

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006273

A diagrammatic representation of the electronic states of a molecule and the transitions between them, typically involving absorption and emission of light. It illustrates processes such as excitation, vibrational relaxation, intersystem crossing, fluorescence, and phosphorescence. The diagram uses horizontal lines for energy levels and vertical or wavy arrows for transitions.
