Prodrug conjugate
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009502
A macromolecular construct where a prodrug is covalently linked to a polymer or another substrate. This conjugation aims to enhance the therapeutic efficacy, reduce side effects, or improve the pharmacokinetic profile of the drug. The linkage is designed to be cleavable under specific physiological conditions, releasing the active drug.
