Productivity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009510
The rate at which biomass or a specific product is generated by a biological system, such as a microbial culture or an ecosystem. It quantifies the efficiency of converting raw materials into desired outputs over a given period. In biotechnology, productivity is often expressed as grams of product per liter per hour.
