Protein sequencing
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009586
The analytical process of determining the order of amino acids in a protein or peptide chain. This technique provides insights into a protein's structure, function, and evolutionary relationships. The most common method for direct protein sequencing is Edman degradation, which identifies amino acids one by one from the N-terminus.
