Radical reactivity scale
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009857
A scale that ranks radicals by the rate constants of their addition to one fixed reference monomer. Keeping the monomer constant makes differences between the constants reflect the reactivity of the radical alone, and it complements a monomer reactivity scale, which fixes the radical and varies the monomer instead. Addition rate constants are expressed in L mol-1 s-1.
