Regulatory idiotope
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010125
A specific antigenic determinant on an antibody or T-cell receptor that can be recognized by other immune cells, influencing the immune response. These idiotopes can either enhance or suppress immune reactions, playing a role in the regulation of immune networks. They are involved in maintaining immune homeostasis and preventing autoimmunity.
