Tr1 cell

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012185

A type of regulatory T lymphocyte that produces high levels of interleukin-10 (IL-10) and transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β), cytokines that suppress immune responses. These cells are involved in maintaining immune tolerance and preventing autoimmune diseases. Tr1 cells can be induced in vitro and in vivo under specific cytokine conditions.
