Infectious tolerance

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013190

A mechanism of immune tolerance where regulatory T cells, once activated, can induce tolerance in other T cells that have not yet encountered the specific antigen. This process involves cell-to-cell contact or the release of suppressive cytokines. It contributes to maintaining immune homeostasis and preventing autoimmune responses.
