Rhonchus

A continuous, low-pitched, rattling breath sound heard during auscultation of the lungs, resembling snoring. It results from the passage of air through narrowed or obstructed airways due to secretions, mucosal edema, or bronchospasm. Rhonchi are commonly associated with conditions such as bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and cystic fibrosis.
