Bronchospasm
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001510
A sudden, involuntary contraction of the smooth muscles in the walls of the bronchi and bronchioles, leading to a narrowing of the airways. This acute constriction restricts airflow to the lungs, causing difficulty breathing, wheezing, and coughing. It is a common symptom of asthma, allergies, and other respiratory conditions.
