Ribonucleotides
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010347
The monomeric units that constitute ribonucleic acid (RNA). Each ribonucleotide is composed of three components: a five-carbon sugar (ribose), a phosphate group, and a nitrogenous base. The four primary bases found in ribonucleotides are adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), and uracil (U), which replaces the thymine found in deoxyribonucleotides.
