Scanning near-field optical microscopy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010550
A super-resolution optical imaging technique that overcomes the diffraction limit of conventional microscopy by using a sub-wavelength aperture or probe tip. This probe is brought very close to the sample surface, allowing for the collection of evanescent waves. It provides optical images with spatial resolution down to tens of nanometers.
