Scanning method
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010549
A technique that involves systematically moving a probe or detector across a sample or through a range of conditions to acquire spatially resolved or spectrally resolved information. This approach enables the detailed examination of surface features, chemical compositions, or energy distributions. Examples include scanning electron microscopy and mass spectrometry scanning modes.
