Secondary screen
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013533
A set of assays performed on compounds identified as 'hits' from a primary high-throughput screening campaign. These tests are designed to confirm the activity of the initial hits, eliminate false positives, and provide more detailed information about their biological or chemical properties. A secondary screen often includes dose-response curves to determine the potency (EC50 or IC50) of the active compounds.
