Primary screen

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009448

The initial high-throughput screening experiment conducted to identify compounds or agents with a desired biological activity from a large library. This screen typically uses a simplified assay format to quickly filter out inactive substances. Compounds identified in a primary screen are then subjected to more rigorous secondary screens.
