Seeded dispersion polymerisation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010658

A polymerization technique where pre-existing polymer seed particles are used to initiate and control the growth of new polymer chains in a dispersed system. Monomer is added to a dispersion of these seeds, and polymerization occurs on or within the seed particles. This method is employed to produce polymer particles with controlled size and morphology, often in the micrometer range.
