Sinus venosus

A thin-walled, sac-like structure in the embryonic heart that receives venous blood from the body and yolk sac. It is the most caudal chamber of the developing heart and contributes to the formation of the posterior part of the right atrium and the coronary sinus in the adult heart. This structure is present in early vertebrate development.
