Solubilisation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011008
The process by which a substance, which is otherwise insoluble in a given solvent, is brought into solution by the addition of a third component. This often involves the formation of micelles or other aggregates that encapsulate the insoluble substance. The resulting solution is thermodynamically stable.
