Krafft point

The temperature above which a surfactant's solubility increases sharply due to the formation of micelles. Below this temperature, the surfactant exists primarily as insoluble aggregates or monomers. This point is a characteristic property of ionic surfactants and is influenced by the length of the hydrophobic chain and the nature of the counterion.
