Species imbalance

A state within an ecosystem where the relative proportions or populations of different species deviate significantly from their typical or healthy distribution. This can result from environmental disturbances, invasive species, or pollution, leading to a disruption of ecological processes. It often indicates a decline in ecosystem stability or function.
