Spermatocide

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011177

A chemical substance that kills spermatozoa, the mature male gametes, thereby preventing fertilization. These agents are the active ingredients in many contraceptive products, such as foams, gels, and creams, where they act by disrupting the sperm cell membrane.
