Star polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011318
A polymer characterized by a central core from which three or more linear polymer chains, or arms, emanate. All arms in a star polymer are typically of the same chemical composition. This branched architecture leads to lower solution viscosity and higher segment density compared to linear polymers of equivalent molar mass.
